Naagin 6’s Sudha Chandran Says She Feels 'Humiliated' When Asked To Audition Despite 35 Years Of Experience: ‘It Raises A Question On My Calibre’
Popular TV actress and renowned dancer Sudha Chandran is widely known for playing Ramola Sikand in the show 'Kaahin Kissii Roz'. She rose to prominence with her brilliant performance in the Balaji Telefilms show and for her impeccable fashion sense back then. Sudha is currently seen in Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural show Naagin 6. She had also been a part of the first three seasons of this fantasy drama. In a recent interview, the senior actress opened up about how she feels humiliated when she is being asked to audition despite having more than 35 years of work experience.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sudha stated that she has clearly and openly said she will not give an audition or look test because that raises a question about her caliber. She strongly feels that if she has to give auditions, then what is the point of her 35 years of input in the industry. Sudha Chandran was quoted saying, “I very openly say, I don’t audition. If I have to audition then what is my 35 years of input in this industry, and if you don’t know my calibre, well I don’t want to work with you. I still have scripts where people say, ‘Ek kaam kijiye na, look test ke liye de dijiye’. I said, ‘Look kya, mera face aapke paas hai, look aap karenge’, and when I am selected most of the time I do my looks.”

The actress also mentioned that she has been talking to CINTAA (Cine And TV Artistes' Association) about this. She feels that senior actors who have put in 30-35 years should not be subject to this kind of humiliation. “I was very straight when I said this. A cameraman, a cinematographer, a DOP who has done brilliant films and is out of work today, doesn’t have to go, light up and show, ‘well this is my work’. I mean why do you want us to go and audition? Today with just one touch you can get the entire work of ours. I don't understand where the industry is going. These are things which really hurt senior actors,” Sudha Chandran further explained.

Sudha plays the role of Rishabh’s mother in Naagin 6 which features Tejasswi Prakash, Simba Nagpal, Mahek Chahal, and Urvashi Dholakia among others.
